Re-shuffling of staff...

My company has won a new contract to manage the Police Force's Warehouse... and hence there's this great re-shuffling of staff in the office... Manpower are needed at the new warehouse and there's been a lot of transfers and all.

And, on my part, my department (Customer Service & Business Development) will be split up to handle more things. My partner will be stationed in Changi and assisting in the MM (materials management) dept while I will be stationed in Tuas to assist the Inbound dept of the naval warehouse.

Hence, we'll be doing our old job and doing more things... good chance to learn new things and time to get busy. :)

Just settled down happily in Changi (for a month or so) and I'll be moving back to Tuas again. Haha, full of changes and must be readily accepting changes and things like that. Nothing's mentioned about my job scope, etc... as yet. I don't even know when I'll be moving over to Tuas... but they'll let me know soon...

Yup, so that's the update about myself...

Here's a picture of my 2 bears I place at my office desk. :)
They'll 'shift home' along w me when I move over to Tuas... :)

My weekend...

Saturday mornings are dedicated to tuition... ;) Glad that my tuition kid is showing improvements and making the teaching effort more worthwhile!

Saturday afternoon, I went to Sim Lim Square to have my web cam changed, but the shop referred me to another shop and the other shop just handed me a name and a contact number for me to call during week days/ Sat (half day). So, just a wasted trip to Sim Lim Square...

Evening time, I popped by Zonghe's place and Zh's dad took us out for dinner. We met up with uncle's close friend (Uncle Keng Leng) & family and had a sumptuous seafood dinner together. A wonderful night out together at the yatch club... But there was this Hokkien Karaoke class dinner and dance there, so they'd this stage set up and one performace after another... non-stop hokkien gua ktv. So, it was quite loud... we couldn't really chit chat and the food took really long to arrive, but the food was really good, so the wait was worthwhile. Thanks uncle for the big treat! Yummy yummy! :D

Hope to bring my family there some time, my brother's birthday is coming, so it'll be good if we can dine there, by the sea... :)

Sunday, was just at home... playing some simple online games and chatting w Zonghe over skype in the afternoon... Just a lazy sunday and didn't do anything much, just taking a break from work and stoning around at home. :)

Another week ahead! :)

A movie I watched recently...

I always wanted to watch this movie- 'Jersey Girl', so I bought it from this dvd shop at somerset quite some time ago...

The previous night, I took it out to watch...

Was quite shock, haha...

Anyway, the back of the dvd says it's ..

Ollie Trinke (Ben Affleck) is a smooth and successful Manhattan music publicist who seems to have it all. When his perfect life is suddenly tragically upended - leaving him as a single father unqualified for the role - he snaps.
Before long Ollie's big city life is a memory. Out of a job and out of luck, he reluctantly moves in with his father (George Carlin) back home to the New Jersey suburb where he was raised. It is the lowest point in his life. Just ask him.
The years pass and with them Ollie's plans for his future. Stuck in an unexciting, dead-end job, he sees no way out and no way back to the life he used to love. But he adores his young daughter Gertie (Raquel Castro), and she loves their life in the 'burbs. To her, Jersey is paradise.
While renting Gertie's favorite movie for the zillionth time one day, Ollie meets Maya (Liv Tyler), who challenges his priorities and perspective. He begins to realize that sometimes you have to forget about who you thought you were, accept who you are and acknowledge what makes you happy.
A dramatic comedy from writer/director, Kevin Smith, JERSEY GIRL reveals the honest, heartfelt and often amusing story about the man who wanted it all but got all that he needed.
JERSEY GIRL also stars Jason Biggs, Jennifer Lopez, Stephen Root, and Mike Starr.

http://www.jerseygirl-movie.com/about.html

Why I was shocked... well... I bought the dvd cos I like Liv Tyler (from LOTR- Arwen... so demure, gentle, lovely, etc...) and I like Ben Affleck (from Pearl Harbor, Pay check, etc...) too... Tot, after Armageddon, what kinda chemistry will there be between the two stars... hee hee, like I said, it was kinda shocking... their character was really very different from my interpretation of them... maybe that's why they are good actor/ actresses. :)

Anyway, it's a nice movie, the little girl is really cute and pretty! :) Nice story about dad and daughter. Just that it's v american... the lifestyle and everything... :)

Anyway, maybe I've not mention yet... I'm a movie fan. I love watching movies and collecting movies as well.. I used to buy a lot of dvd... at one time, I was crazy abt collecting movies and I ended up buying quite a lot and then, I was really broke with all these expenditure... :) However, for some movies that I really like I'll take them out to watch time after time, etc... For instance, my lord of the rings trilogy... pirates of the carribean... pearl harbor... etc.. some movies I've watched 2x 3 x already! :p

My fav actresses... erm... I dunno... I kinda like Kate Beckinsale, tot she's v pretty. haha... And, I think Kirsten Dunst is talented... Oh, yes... my fav is non other than Julia Roberts! I love her acting and she's really beautiful! :) I think 'Erin Brockovich' was really good, she acted really well... I always wanted to watch ' My Best Friend's Wedding' (the dvd I bought actually has cracks, so sad...)... I like her since 'Pretty Women'! :)

Fav actors... haha, I like cute guys! :D Erm... well... I like Brad Pit, Tom Cruise (both off them are really cool and suave! ;p)... Johnny Depp (he acts really really well!)... Ben Affleck n Josh Harnett (from Pearl Harbor, that's why)... And of course the uprising Orlando Bloom (our dearest Legolas from LOTR).

Yup, that's all for now... will introduce more movies another time! :)

Some cute pictures to share...

Received these baby looney toons pic and text, so here's sharing w all...

Btw, I'm non-religious... I'm a free-thinker... :)

Enjoy...

IF YOU COME BACK (Blue)

For all this time,
I've been lovin' you girl, oh yes I have
And ever since the day, you left me here alone
I've been trying to find, oh, the reason why

So if I did something wrong please tell me
I wanna understand
'Cause I don't want this love to ever end

And I swear
If you come back in my life, I'll be there till the end of time

And I swear
I'll keep you right by my side, 'Cause baby you're the one I want
Oh yes you are

I watched you go, you've taken my heart with you
Oh yes you did
Every time I tried to reach you, on the phone
Baby you're never there, girl you're never home

So if I did something wrong please tell me
I wanna understand
'Cause I don't want this love to ever end
No, no, no, no

I swear
If you come back in my life, I'll be there till the end of time
And I swear
I'll keep you right by my side, 'cause baby you're the one I want
Oh yes you are

Maybe I didn't know how to show it
And maybe I didn't know what to say
This time I won't disguise
Then we can build our lives
Then we can be as one

I swear
If you come back in my life, I'll be there till the end of time
Oh yeah
And I swear
I'll keep you right by my side, 'cause baby you're the one I want
Oh yes you are...

Thursday...

Thursday was the going-home-early day for me...

Got home straight after work...

Cooked dinner for all... Been quite long since I last cooked for everyone... Fried fish, green vege and steamed egg... and re-heat some left-over food from yesterday...

Initially planning to play RO, but my brother was using my comp to play half-life 2 instead... so, I didn't get to play my game...

Wanted to do some reading, but in the end didn't... :p

Then, spent time w my mum chatting, while watching 'project superstar' together. Only caught the first half, cos when they asked the cmi contestants out to sing, it was really q bad, then we switched the tv off. :p

Spent the rest of the evening tidying up my room, until 10pm... Watched 'Lost' w my brother... then wrote a letter to Zh, before knocking out around 11.30pm... yup, just another day that has gone by...

AT THE BEGINNING (Donna Lewis & Richard Marx)

We were strangers, starting out on a journey
Never dreaming, what we’d have to go through
Now here we are, I’m suddenly standing
At the beginning with you

No one told me I was going to find you
Unexpected, what you did to my heart
When I lost hope, you were there to remind me
This is the start

And life is a road that I wanna keep going
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey
I’ll be there when the world stops turning
I’ll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

We were strangers on a crazy adventure
Never dreaming, how our dreams would come true
Now here we stand, unafraid of the future
At the beginning with you

And life is a road that I wanna keep going
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey
I’ll be there when the world stops turning
I’ll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

Knew there was somebody, somewhere
A new love in the dark
Now I know my dream will live on
I’ve been waiting so long
Nothing’s gonna tear us apart

And life is a road that I wanna keep going
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey
I’ll be there when the world stops turning
I’ll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

Planning an event for my company...

Next project coming up will be planning the executive gathering for my company...

We've an exe. gathering once every 3 months and the various divisions- army log, aviation n marine division will take turns to arrange such gathering...

So, the upcoming one in Sept is under us- Marine Division... Yup, and I'm one of those in the organizing committee...

So, yesterday we'd meetings about the tentative program... past few sessions were always talks and such and pple tend to get really bored... so this time round, we're looking for something > exciting... and relaxing...

Our Plan A was to get a performance group in.
I contacted Thomas, cos he's got a band! But sadly, he says schedule mismatch, so can't perform for us... then contacted Uncle Ben (a colleague from Changi), who also plays soft rock... but also cannot make it...

Now, contacting some old pals in NUS, hopefully can get help from them... :p

Plan B will be games... but it's hard to get 100+ pple to play games together... yup...

Plan C will be to invite speakers to come talk about CPF, about money and things like tt...... ~xianzzz~...

So, that's what I'm busy w at work right now... quite fun in fact... hope all turns out well in the end...

Looking forward to mooncake festival... looking forward to eating mooncakes... haha... :) Definately will put on weight these few months... :D

Yup, it's mid week... so... yawnz... :) Hope the weekend comes soon...

HEAVEN KNOWS (Rick Price)

She's always on my mind
From the time I wake up,
Till I close my eyes.
She's everywhere I go
She's all I know.

And though she's so far away,
It just keeps getting stronger everyday
And even now she's gone
I'm still holding on

So tell me, where do I start
'Coz it's breakin' my heart
Don't wanna let her go

Maybe my love will come back someday
Only heaven knows
And maybe our hearts will find a way
But only heaven knows
And all I can do is hope & pray
'Coz heaven knows.

My friends keep telling me
That if you really love her,
You've gotta set her free
And if she returns in time
I'll know she's mine

But tell me, where do I start
'Coz it's breakin' my heart
Don't wanna let her go

Maybe my love will come back someday
Only heaven knows
And maybe our hearts will find a way
But only heaven knows
And all I can do is hope & pray
'Coz heaven knows
Why I live in despair
'Coz wide awake or dreamin',
I know she's never there
And all the time I act so brave,
I'm shakin' inside
Why does it hurt me so?

Heaven knows... heaven knows.

Reading other's blog...

Just happened to be reading a couple of my friend's blog today... maybe I'm just bored. :p

Here's to share with everyone:

1) Zonghe's blog
http://www.studiohub.net
Zonghe's in US now and the blog is set up specially for us to know more about his life in the US. Very interesting blog full of beautiful photos. Really hope he'll have a great time in US and take good care of himself there. :)

2) Minyi's blog
http://minyii.blogspot.com/
Minyi introduced me to blogspot. Well, we've been friends for almost 4 years now, since NUS year 1. She was my president of NUSPS, back in year 1. :) A very caring & dedicated friend who's forever so positive about her life. She never fails to make me smile. Thanks dear.

3) Joann's blog
http://bremendiaries.blogspot.com/
Joann's my dear friend from NUS, USP. We did a project together when we did the module- Conflict Resolution: Negotiation and Mediation... She just flew to Germany to further her studies and we can read more about her life thru the blog. :)

Yup, these's are the blogs that I know of... maybe if u've a blog too, do send me the link ok?

For the first time, tried my web cam today with Zonghe this afternoon... It was working fine, then suddenly malfunctioned... After much troubleshooting and restarting of comp and switching computers to try it out... it's really spoilt... so sad... I think it's still within the warranty period, so I've to make a trip to Sim Lim some time... (need to go dig out the receipt too... hope it's still around..). Very sad...

A lazy Sunday afternoon for me... Was packing up my room this morning and tidying up my CDs and so on... Yup, just stoning at home. Kinda brain dead... not doing anything, not thinking abt anything... sigh... how come like tt? What can I do to make my life more interesting/ fulfilling?

AGAINST ALL ODDS (Mariah Carey & Westlife)

How can I just let you walk away
Just let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking
Every breath with you
You're the only one
Who really knew me at all
How can you just walk away from me
When all I can do is watch you leave
'Cause we've shared the laughter and the pain
And even shared the tears
You're the only one
Who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now
'Cause there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
Take a look at me now
Oh there's just an empty space
And you coming back to me is against the odds
And that's what I've got to face

I wish I could just make you turn around
Turn around and see me cry
There's so much I need to say to you
So many reasons why
You're the only one
Who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now
'Cause there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
Take a look at me now so there's just an empty space
But to wait for you is
All I can do
When that's what I've got to face
Take a good look at me now
'Cause l'll still be standing here
And you coming back to me is against all odds
That's the chance I've qot to take

Take a look at me now

Saturday...

Just another Saturday of mine...

Spent time giving tuition this morning, then met up with my sec. sch. pals....Grace, Lihan, Melissa & Wenmin :) 'Full' attendence today cos all of us made it. Great to see you all!... :) Great to know that Wenmin actually reads my blog. ;)

We'd lunch at Fiesta Restaurant and walked around Toa Payoh Central... We bought q a lot of stuff today... I bought a bright yellow singlet, while Mel bought the light + bright green one, same cut as mine. It was 2 for $14, that's why we got one each... :) Wenmin managed to buy a nice green bag for work and later on... Grace and Lihan bought a bag each as well. :) Cool...

Grace and I bought bak gua home... cos Grace says her family drinking red wine tonight, wanna have bak gua to go with it. :) On top of buying bak gua, Wenmin n I also bought luku back for our family... I bought a long sleeve shirt for Drr (my brother) from Bossini too, cos it was going for $10. Unbelieveable. It's still v nice and in good condition. Selling at low price cos it's the old stock and it's the last piece left. ;)

We left Toa Payoh around 5pm to head home for dinner. :) Looking forward to the next meeting scheduled 10th Sept. :) Meanwhile, take care folks... Thanks! :)

CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU (Diana Ross)

You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
You'd be like Heaven to touch.
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.

Pardon the way that I stare.
There's nothing else to compare.
The sight of you leaves me weak.
There are no words left to speak,
But if you feel like I feel,
Please let me know that it's real.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.

I love you, baby,
And if it's quite alright,
I need you, baby,
To warm a lonely night.
I love you, baby.
Trust in me when I say:
Oh, pretty baby,
Don't bring me down, I pray.
Oh, pretty baby, now that I found you, stay
And let me love you, baby.
Let me love you.

You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
You'd be like Heaven to touch.
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.

Meeting up more good old friends...

My week that has just gone by...

Tuesday 16th August 2005

The Tue that just passed, I met up with my long lost buddy, Joanne. We used to work together at the same office for about half a year and that was how we met each other. It's been like 4 years since we last met. Besides the occassional snail mails of letters or cards (Christmas, etc...), we've not really been in touch...

Just happened I wrote to her again (snail mail) and gave her my mobile number, which has remained unchanged since long ago... and she sms-ed me! :) She lost my number when her sim card was damaged... That was how we got to meet up after so long! :)

We'd dinner at Bugis Junction and Joanne gave me a treat! Thanks dear! Yup the food was great and we'd bubble tea too... the drink was really really good... haven't had such nice bubble tea for so long already!

We walked around a little before heading home around 9+pm... Hope to meet up with her soon... it'll be my treat the next time! :)

Wednesday 17th August 2005

Wednesday evening was spent in NUS. Went back school for the NUSPS AGM and to support the previous prez, who re-ran for prez again this year... V committed and self-sacrificing Jiexiang! :) Jia you okie! ;) The new committee looks really strong and everyone who's newly elected seemed so eager to contribute to the society! Yeah! That's the spirit!

Got to meet Mervyn and Candice, many of the exco from the previous committee which just handed over the work to the new com... And Nelson too... though he was sitting w far, didn't even managed to talk to him... And of course Corine... The ever supportive president's lady... :) Nice chit chat w Corine too... And met up with my younger brother, Drr, who was there for the elections. :)

Congrats to Jiexiang for successfully being elected the president and congrats to Hetian too, for being elected DMC manager (Digital Imaging Director) and congrats to the rest of the committee too! Congrats to VP Satya, Treasurer Leonard (must give special mention... he's so adorable! haha... yup, he was from HK and just so reminds me of W. Hung... oops. :p) [Dun get offended ok, it's a compliment!] ... yup congrats to secretaries Vincent & Pei Yen (the minority [female] in the committee... jia you le!) ... Course co-ordinator Gerald, Web Admin Cuong, Marketing head Teng Yong, Publicity Firdauz (u rockz!) and last but not least Creative director, Eugene- who sat next next to me! :) (Knew u can do it... See,I told u I'll support u! ;) ) [Sorry, I left slightly earlier, din know who got the Logistics Executive post... someone pls update me ok?]

Yup, took cab home from school... another long day I had...

Thursday 18th August 2005

Thu evening was spent with Janice and Hong Jin, my Bizad pals. We met for prata at Casurina first then later hopped onto Janice's car and went to Serangoon Garden's Cafe Cartel for dessert! Had a good time chit chatting with them, but we couldn't stay too late, so we left the place around 11pm. Yup, hopped onto a cab and got home some time before midnight. :p

Watched the project Superstar results show... Both my fav were booted out... dunno why like that... My mum v cute, she says how come like tt, why like that, how can be like tt, etc... seems like she's a greater fan!!! Hee hee... watching tv till so late... yawnz... :p

Friday 19th August 2005

Today's my dad's birthday! After work, will go out for dinner... Happy Birthday Ba! :)

Today at office, we celebrated my colleague's birthday. Happy Birthday Wenfeng! :) Got her a card and let everyone sign it and a slice of cake from Cafe Cartel- chewy chocolate cake! After lunch, we got together, lit up a candle and sang her a birthday song. :) Cos there were just the few of us around, so we didn't get a full cake, but just an exclusive slice for her. :)

Just happened today I'm not feeling that well... got diarrhea... tummy feels really wierd. :( Hope it'll be better... Colleague Mr Ong gave me some medicine. A chinese powder to mix with water and drink... v strong and minty... Q awful to drink, but nvm... just gulp it down.. *bleah*...

Yup, another week have gone by... so fast so fast... time to plan my 'activities' for the next week... :)

It's really ironic now that I drive to work, but I don't go out (after work) as often as I used to... cos parking is expensive... ERP charges in town... petrol too... :p So, we'll see... might have to drive home first before taking the public transport out to meet my friends. ;)

Anyway, feeling really miserable now. :( Will just rest here for a while...

Take care and enjoy your weekend...

NOTHING'S GONNA CHANGE MY LOVE FOR YOU (Glenn Medeiros)

If I had to live my life without you near me
The days would all be empty
The nights would seem so long

With you I see forever oh so clearly
I might have been in love before
But it never felt this strong

Our dreams are young
And we both know they'll take us
Where we want to go

Hold me now
Touch me now
I don't want to live without you

Nothing's gonna change my love for you
You ought know by now how much I love you
One thing you can be sure of I'll never ask for more than your love

Nothing's gonna change my love for you
You ought know by now how much I love you
The world may change my whole life through
But nothing's gonna change my love for you

If the road ahead is not so easy,
Our love will lead the way for us
Like a guiding star

I'll be there for you if you should need me
You don't have to change a thing
I love you just the way you are
So come with me and share the view I'll help you see forever too

Hold me now
Touch me now
I don't want to live without you

Nothing's gonna change my love for you
You ought know by now how much I love you
The world may change my whole life through
But nothing's gonna change my love for you

Meeting good old friends...

Another exciting week has slipped by...

What I've been doing the past week...

Met up with Minyi on Wed to catch movie premiere of 'Valiant', nice cutish short movie. :) Minyi's great company to be with, she never fails to make me smile! Thanks dear!
Yup, thanks to Nicholas for the tickets... After the movie, both of us joined Nelson and Chin Yee for dinner at NYDC, and chit chat till 10.30pm! :)

Friday night, met up with my old pal from the good old days of the House 11 Multimedia Lab in NUS- Thomas. He started a band and produced their first album already! Wow! Check it out at http://www.leesonband.com. :) Bought their first album from Thomas, it's really nice and very refreshing and original! :) We'd dinner at Cafe Cartel at Plaza Singapura and the food and service there was great! There was the 50% off desserts after 9pm and wow! We ordered the mango moose and the Oreo cheesecake... both are very nice! :) Highly recommended! I 'da bao' back 2 more cakes- the chewy chocolate and the bitter chocolate ones for my brothers... the bitter choco one is better! :) Do give it a try ok?

Weekends... Saturday was spent giving tuition in the morning. The afternoon, I visited Zonghe's family, to chit chat with them and had dinner together. We even caught the first half of the football match together! First match of the premiereship, Man U vs Everton. Final score 2-0! Yeah! :)

Sunday... played badminton with my family, really very shacked out after the 2 hours game. In the late afternoon (4pm), I met up with Sally to go for the NDP Celebration- Carnival at Marina! It wasn't really that exciting... ;p Was quite crowded too... spent much time talking to Sally as we walked from the MRT station to the carnival, and walked the entire stretch of Marina South, (yes the whole loop!), before returning to MRT and leaving around 9pm. We visited many booths, did a bit of shopping (haha- I bought a set of Army souvenirs- collar pins of airplanes and helicopter models + a Navy T-shirt! :p )... We also visited the static displays and took photos together. (The weather was really hot, so I wore a short dress... was really tough to climb into those army vehicles, in the end.. I gave up! :p Just stood next to the vehicle and took a photo... haha...) There was also the firework display... It's really nice! :) Wonderful night, with the sky lit up so brightly. :)

That was my week... looking forward to a new exciting week ahead! :)

How we choose to be happy

There's this book I read recently, I thought it's kinda thought provoking and at times inspiring as well. Some particulars about this book:

Title : How we choose to be happy: The 9 choices of extremely happy people
Authors: Foster, Rick & Hicks, Greg
Finding it in Kinokuniya: Book shelf J11-04
Finding it in the national library: Call no B15474740J

Some ideas from this book:

The 9 choices towards true happiness...

1) Intention
> The active interest and commitment to be happy
> To consciously choose attitudes and behaviours that will possibility give you happiness

2) Accountability
> To decide on the life and create opportunities to live it
> To assume personal responsibility for any actions, thoughts and feelings
> Not to blame others
> Neither to view yourself as victim

3) Identification
> Ongoing process to really discover deep within what makes you really happy

4) Centrality
> Making happiness central to your life

5) Recasting
> To transform stressful problems/ trauma into something meaningful, important or even a source of emotional energy

6) Options
> To approach life by creating mulitple scenarios
> To be open to new possibilities
> Adopt a flexible approach to life's journey

7) Appreciation
> Choice to appreciate deeply your own life and people in it
> 'stay in the present' and turn each experience into something precious

8) Giving
> Choice to share yourself with friends and community
> Give to the world at large without expectation of a 'return'

9) Truthfulness
> To be honest with yourself and others
> Not to allow societal, workplace, or family demands to interfere

Yup, and lastly the synergy of all these decisions to make your life a better one that makes the difference. Give it a try, you may never know what you'll find! :)

May there be peace on earth and happy people all around us! :)

One beautiful morning I woke up to...

Another day in my life, the same old alarm that rang (so loudly)...

Tried to wake my dad to drive to work along side with me. He just said that I can do it myself. Go give it a try...

So I did... initially, it's heart-beating super fast, hands are all sweaty and shivering... I shook myself out of it, took deep breathes then went into the car to start driving...

So far so good, traffic was heavy but all went smoothly and I even parked straight into the lot! So happy about my own achievement...

For those who dunno, I've got my license q some time ago but was lazy to learn to drive my dad's car. And these days, my dad will accompany me as I drive to work. Each morning, he will drop me off at my work place then drive the car back home. :)

Yup, so I got to office early and there's this big glass panel in the office, overseeing the sea. Since I was early, I just stood at the glass windows and watch the magnificant sun rise... It's quite cloudy this morning, so it adds this misty feel to the morning sun.

The bright round orangy sun was rising up and there was trails of orange glow on the surface of the ocean... really really nice. And then, there was this airplane which was taking off (fr Changi Airport) and then flying pass the bright sun, from my angle that is... :) [For those who dunno, I'm working at Changi Naval Base, near the sea, as well as our Changi Airport]...

So, it's such a beautiful morning I woke up to... Hope you'll enjoy beautiful mornings too!

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who have a split personality - cold as ice on the outside but hot as fire in the heart.
In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.
You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is comforting. You crave a relationship where you always feel warmth and love.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.
In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

What Are The Keys To Your Heart?

Happy National Day

National Day!!! Happy 40th Birthday Singapore!

Hope everyone's got a good break from school, from work. :)

My National Day was spent with my family... In fact the celebration started on the 8th evening. My family and I went to KTV and we sang overnight till 3am the next day! Havoc eh... my whole family, all 6 of us just love to sing... :p

So, the 9th, all of us were sleepy and woke up late.

Afternoon... I put in a dvd- My Sassy Girl to watch with my family. This's the second time watching it already, first time caught it in the theatres with Zonghe. It's a very touching story about to love and being loved in return... :) Towards the end of the movie, they mentioned that love is creating a bridge of chance to meet the special someone (again)...

It also teaches me a lot. Things like letting go and to love again... The girl in the story took like more than 4 years before letting go of her boyfriend (who was dead) and finally accepting someone new. I think love is like that, it is something so deep inside that we cannot control... Even as she learns to let go, a part of him will always be with her.

I think it's a story about courage too. About putting the past behind and moving on. It's such a painful process and takes such a long time for pain to subside, but she did it. So, that's really remarkable.

At the same time, the guy was also so cute... Be so willing to wait for her for 2 years... and through these 2 years learn all sort of skills like swimming, like squash and all... These are things that they did together but which he always lost to her... Think it's really sweet of him to improve himself for her sake. Could tell that the person he was before and after meeting her was such a better person. :) I think love does wonders to people. It lifts people up! :) Makes people change for the better (hopefully! :p)...

Yeah.. and it's a story about not giving up on love. :) Even after 2 years of wait and she didn't turn up under the tree... he continued to wait for her... Yup... so wonderful... reminds me of the shen2 diao1 xia2 lv3 (Legend of the condor heros ;p)... Yang Guo and Xiao Long Nu made a deal to meet up after 16 years and even after so long, their love for each other never die...

Yup, they're all stories... stories to inspire us. Dunno if such things really happen in life, but I think it's something very possible...

Yup... that was my Tuesday at home. :)

Share more movies with you all another time. I love to watch movies... :)

My weekend...

Finally the weekend came and it's the best time to do whatever things I really want to do!

Saturday...

Slept till about noon, cos Friday night I zzz only around 4am (the previous friday, I zzz at 5am! Oh no, what's happening to me! :p)
Went to Bugis to meet my brothers (Gor and Drr) for lunch. Drr came from hostel while Gor was meeting someone else earlier...

Drr and I went to Hello Shop to sign on a new 2 years contract. He got the new Mitsubishi M800 phone, paying only $98! Super good deal!!!

As my work place is in the naval base, I needed to choose a non-camera phone. I picked the Panasonic A200 phone, was at $0 (actually my phone budget was about $200! :p )... It's really cute and small, weighs only 77g. But it doesn't really have many functions/ features... just the basic ones.

Happy with the new hp. Just that I used a long time to transfer the contacts from my old Nokia to his phone. To my horror, I found that I've got 500+ contacts in my hp and this new phone can only store 200 contacts (along with 200 more in the sim card- total of 400 contacts)...

I'd to force myself to delete some contacts and at the same time, combining numbers... such as Grace home, etc... all under Grace's name only... I've copied out all my mobile contacts some time last year before, so I've a hard copy of all my friend's mobile numbers. In case of any problems, at least I still have a copy of their contacts somewhere... :) So, it's not so bad... :)

After we were done, we got home together... took another shower, cos the weather's so so hot! Around 5.30pm or so, I left home to go for my NUSPS alumni dinner at the Penang Place Restaurant at the Atrium- somewhere in Jurong East. :)

Special thanks to senior Jieying who fetched me fr CCK over to the restaurant! Thanks Jieying jie! :) Great to see so many people at the alumni gathering...

After dinner, we went to Raffles Marina (hope I got the name right), some country club at Tuas, near the 2nd link... We held our AGM there. :) My dear Minyi is the Treasurer and I'm her assistant. President is Tuck Loong, vice-pres is Zhong Sheng (correct spelling? Pardon me if I'm wrong k?) And Mervyn as secretary n Zuoxin as vice (hope I got all the info right... got confused after we've the Bee Thiam/ activities/ marketing/ president thingy... as suggested by Nicholas)...

A great evening out, ended the day with group photo taking and 15 mins before midnight. Got a ride back home from Xinda. Special thanks to Xinda too! :) Sorry for the trouble!

Thanks for making my Saturday so wonderful! :)

Sunday...

Was figuring out how to use my hp, and arranging the contacts from old hp to the new one... the entire morning...
Around 11+, went out to meet my sec sch friends- namely Grace, Lihan, Melissa (Wenmin couldn't make it)... We'd lunch at Thai Express... and nice chit chat... :) Bought 2 badminton rackets from Royal Sporting House at J8. :)

Had tuition in the afternoon, then got home.

Watched the Korean movie - 'Please teach me English', which Minyi lent me to cheer me up. Really funny and had a good time watching the movie, very sweet movie. :)

Yup... a whole new week ahead, happy that it's the national day on Tuesday! :) Happy Birthday Singapore! :) I love my home land! hee hee...

Thanks to one and all... take care! :)
