Love, Me (Collin Raye)

I read a note my grandma wrote back in nineteen twenty-three.
Grandpa kept it in his coat, and he showed it once to me. He said,
"Boy, you might not understand, but a long, long time ago,
Grandma's daddy didn't like me none, but I loved your Grandma so."

We had this crazy plan to meet and run away together.
Get married in the first town we came to, and live forever.
But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet, instead
I found this letter, and this is what it said:

If you get there before I do, don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long I'll be.
But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you. Love, me.

I read those words just hours before my Grandma passed away,
In the doorway of a church where me and Grandpa stopped to pray.
I know I'd never seen him cry in all my fifteen years;
But as he said these words to her, his eyes filled up with tears.

If you get there before I do, don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long I'll be.
But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you. Love, me.
Between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you. Love, me.

Happy Anniversary!

Dearest Zonghe,

Happy Anniversary!

You're the best thing that happened to me and I do cherish you so much!

I'm grateful for your love and I'm sure if we both work together, nothing can be too difficult to solved.

Looking forward to spending the rest of my life with you!

Love,
Peixin

Busy busy busy

Been so busy recently with work that I've hardly have time the time and energy to blog after I get home... It's been a long time since my last entry... hee...

Especially last weekend, I was down with flu since Friday evening and finally recovered on Sunday afternoon. So the weekend, I have been sleeping a lot!

Thankfully, I recovered in time to go over to Zonghe's house to celebrate Zongneng's birthday! Happy 21st Birthday Neng! :) We went to Marina Square's and had Jap Buffet at Yuki Yaki. Dinner was great and we'd a good time chatting and enjoying the food.

Also, tennis lesson just started for me. It's fun but pretty slow moving...

Trying to do more sports and drawing out a jogging schedule. Probably Tuesdays and Fridays jogging... Fridays I'll meet up w Adeline n Liyun to jog at YCK stadium.

Month end, so got monthly report to write and a project to submit... ~sweat~...

Yup, will blog soon...

Movies I watched recently...

Movie no 1: Goal (thumbs up!)

Goal is an inspiring and very touching movie which revolves around this young lad making his dreams come true- playing professional football! As a soccer fan, I really love this movie, all the amazing soccer skills and the brief appearance of Beckham, Raul & Zidane! :)
Strongly recommended. My 3 brothers are watching it tonight, I'm seriously thinking if I wanna go catch it again w them! Haha...

Movie no 2: April Snow (erm... CMI!)

April Snow is a wierd movie with a wierd storyline. Anyway, I was never a Bae Yong Joon fan... went to watch cos colleague likes him. haha...
Erm, even if you've the extra cash, I won't recommend you to watch this movie. :p

Movie on DVD: The Italian Job (nice!)

I caught this movie with Zonghe at the theatres when it was first released. It has a simple plot but the brains behind executing the plans was excellent! Really enjoyed watching it another time w my family this time round.

That's all for now. Will blog soon.

Solitaire (Clay Aiken)

There was a man, a lonely man
Who lost his love through his indifference
A heart that cared, that went unshared
Until it died in his silence

And Solitaire's the only game in town
And every road that takes him, takes him down
And by himself, it's easy to pretend
He'll never love again

And keeping to himself he plays the game
Without her love it always ends the same
While life goes on around him everywhere
He's playing Solitaire

Another day, a lonely day
So much to say that goes unspoken
And through the night, his sleepless nights
His eyes are closed, his heart is broken

And Solitaire's the only game in town
And every road that takes him, takes him down
And by himself it's easy to pretend
She's coming back again

And keeping to himself he plays the game
Without her love it always ends the same
While life goes on around him everywhere
He's playing Solitaire

A little hope, goes up in smoke
Just how it goes, goes without saying
Solitaireee
And by himself it's easy to pretend
He'll never love again
Ohhh

And keeping to himself he plays the game
Without her love it always ends the same
While life goes on around him everywhere
He's playing Solitaire
Solitaire, solitaire

Measure of a Man (Clay Aiken)

If one day you discover him
Broken down he's lost everything
No cars, no fancy clothes to make him who he's not
The woman at his side is all that he has got
Why do you ask him move heaven and earth
To prove his love has worth?

Would he walk on water
Would he run through fire
Would he stand before you
When it's down to the wire
Would he give his life up
To be all he can
Is that, is that, is that how you measure a man?

If by chance all he had to give you
Was three words wrapped around your finger
Would that be deep enough at the end of every day
And how will you ever know
If a man is what he says?

Why do you ask him to move heaven and earth
To prove his love has worth
Would he walk on water
Would he run through fire
Would he stand before you
When it's down to the wire
Would he give his life up to be all he can
Is that, is that, is that how you measure a man?

He never gives up
Lets go of his dream
His world goes around for his one true belief
Is that how you know
Is that what it means?

Is that, is that, is that, how you measure oh...
Is that, is that, is that, how your measure a man?

Happy Birthday Grace

Just happened today's Grace's Bithday and she's free in the evening... so we met up after work for dinner...

Had a wonderful Jap buffet in this Jap restaurant in IMM Building. We spent most of our time eating and talking to each other. We didn't intended to go for buffet... We passed by this Jap restaurant and wanted to go for the bento. After we got seated, we saw the buffet menu and decided to go for the buffet instead.

We started off dinner with chawamushi then sashimi. The sashimi is really good, thick slices of excellent and extremely fresh and juicy raw fish. We'd 2 servings of mixed sashimi, salmon, sword-tail and 1 serving of cuttlefish. It came up to be 2 huge plates of sashimi, really huge! So, we ate and ate. Finishing the sashimi... we were almost full already! =D

We also ordered other things like tempura prawns, breaded oysters, unagi (yes, it's back in town), teppanyaki beef, more tempura prawns and many many more. :p We didn't eat that many different stuff, cos the menu's quite limited anyway, but the food was very fresh and good. The fried stuff didn't feel too oily either. :)

After dinner, we walked around IMM a little bit before heading home together. A really nice and relaxing night out with my dear Grace...

Just to add... Grace's one of my dearest friend and she's been really supportive and loving all these while and especailly so during the toughest time, and I really thank her for her love. It's my great fortune to have Grace as my friend and I wish she'll find peace and love and she really deserves a wonderful partner who'll cherish her for who she is and dote on her. :D

Happy Birthday Grace and I'd a wonderful time with you tonight. Take good care and may dreams come true. Thanks for everything!

Will-writing Seminar

My friend, Norman, invited me and my dad to this will-writing seminar yesterday... It was a very informative seminar organised by AXA to educate us about the purpose and the legal complications of having a will in place... Just to share some information I gained from the seminar.

A will is a legal document which sets out clearly how you intend to distribute your assets. Without one, in the event of passing onm law will come in to distribute your assets, based on the rules of intestacy (principles of equity).

The advantages of having a will are as such:
- easier to process to obtain Grant of Probate from the courts
- appointment of executors and trustees of will
- freedom to give away your assets
- executors do not need to post sureties (deposit with court before access to assets)
- appoint guardians for your minor children
- avoid unhappy conflicts from arising

Just to share with you all what Ive learnt from the seminar. Besides the legal aspects of will writing, I realise how fragile life can be. Will can come in as your 'last words' or messages to your loved ones. Because there is someone out there that you love, that's why you'll feel it's important to have a will in place so that there will not be too many complications that may arise after you pass-on.

Well, life is certainly very short. May we live each day as if it's our last and live it to it's fullest!

舍不得 oh my love
你在等待 我也等待

等我回来
oh.....my baby
